There are plenty of ways to be a part of the ride if you do not wish to cycle. These range from volunteering for a support based role on the day to helping to spread the word to more people.
Spread the Word
To help spread the word like us on facebook @Oxfordruralcycle4life and invite your firends and family!
Some examples of support based roles are given below:
There are many marshall points along the route. Marshalls are essential as they ensure that riders are always clear of the route they need to take and they can provide a point of contact for anyone needing assistance. We are always pleased to welcome anyone who thinks this is something they can offer.
Refreshment stops are available to the riders at various points along the route and so we welcome people who might like to help with this.
Back at base
There are many roles available at the bike ride base (Islip Village Hall) throughout the day, these include:
-helping to prepare and/or serve refreshments
-setting up raffle and/or selling raffle tickets
-registering riders both in and out
-assisting with any bicycle maintenance
-providing first aid support
